Brazilian primary aluminum production grows by 2.% in may

The Brazilian Aluminum Association (Associação Brasileira do Alumínio - ABAL) announces the primary aluminum production figures for May/07. According to the association, 141.8 thousand ton were produced in May, a volume 2,9% above the volume recorded in May of the previous year. The accrued volume of Jan. to May, amounted to 677 thousand ton, an increase of 2.7% compared to the same period in the previous year, when the production reached 659 thousand ton.
