U.K. Stocks Advance; Led By BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Kazakhmys

U.K. stocks snapped a two-day decline. BHP Billiton Plc, the world's largest mining company, and Rio Tinto Plc paced rising shares. Kazakhmys Plc, Kazakhstan's biggest copper producer, also gained as UBS AG raised its recommendation on the stock. The benchmark FTSE 100 Index rose 67, or 1.1 percent, to 6,105.3 at 8:04 a.m. in London. The FTSE All-Share Index advanced 37.35, or 1.2 percent, to 3,166.97. Ireland's ISEQ Index added 536.48, or 6.4 percent, to 8,883.2. BHP Billiton gained 3.7 percent to 1,307 pence. Rio Tinto rallied 3.3 percent to 3,107 pence. Kazakhmys rose 6.4 percent to 1,151 pence, after UBS AG raised its recommendation on the stock to "buy"from "neutral."
