South Australia Prime Minister Mike Rann sent warning to BHP Billiton should increase local production capability to extend Olympic dam in order to their people will get profit. This warning show that BHP Billiton should negotiate with the prime minister if it carry this extend plan. Mike Rann said: “this resource belongs to South Australia people, ore also belongs to them, so I hope the biggest benefit should give to them.” Currently, BHP Billiton has about 200 thousand metric ton refine capacity in this area, value about $1b, to increase production capavity means to extend base facility construction.
