Norilsk Nickel invite BHP Billiton join in its coal field project

The biggest nickel producer—Norilsk Nickel declared to set up a 5.5b ton annual output coal field and it has invite BHP join in this project. Norilsk bought this coal field on an auction on Wednesday. The output of this coal field will reach to 12m ton per year. Syradasaiskoye will be the first coal project of Norilsk. Its vice chairmen Maxim Finsky said: “Europe coking coal supply shortage is 23m ton, yet Australia export has released this situation.” 07 coking coal price has rose 50%, because Australia supply insufficient, Asia demand is strong. BHP Billiton spokesman give no comments on this.
