BHP Billiton propose to close two electrolytic cells in South Africa

Mar 12—BHP Billiton has said that by the account of the power shortage, it plans to close two Bayside Hillside and Mozal smelters in South Africa BHP has negotiate with its workers on whether to close the B，C Electrolytic cells in Bayside smelter. BHP Billiton’s loss on all the three plants over 120,000 metric ton, Bayside smelter output is reach 92,000 metric ton. South Africa state company Eskom said it has enough power to fill the demand.
