BHP Appoints Nelson Silva as Marketing Director Carbon Steel Materials

BHP Billiton is pleased to announce the appointment of Nelson Silva as Marketing Director Carbon Steel Materials, as well as a lead role on the team with responsibility for the hostile bid for rival Rio Tinto. Silva was President of the Aluminium Customer Sector Group before the appointment that effective on 21 April 2008, and Jon Dudas, currently Chief Information Officer, will replace the position.
