Metro Mining Limited, an exploration and mining company based in Australia, has signed two binding spot cargo agreements with Shanxi Liulin Senze Aluminium Company Limited (Shanxi Senze). These two agreements were for 60,000 wet tons of bauxite from the Bauxite Hills Mine, located in Queensland.
The annual production capacity of this alumina refinery is 1.3 million tons, and its annual required amount of bauxite is approximately 3 million dry tons.
Alumina producer Shanxi Senze, a division of Senze Energy Group General Company Group, hoped to replace the domestic bauxite supply by imported bauxite.
