Alcan Executive Named Chairman Of Flexible Packaging Association

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) has elected Ilene S. Gordon, senior vice president, Alcan Inc., and president and CEO, Alcan Packaging, chairman of its Board of Directors.

Gordon has been a member of the FPA's Board since 2000, and most recently served as its executive vice chairman. The FPA, based in Linthicum, Md., represents the interests of the flexible packaging industry in the U.S.

Gordon assumed her current position at Alcan in December 2006. Alcan is an aluminum and materials company; Alcan Packaging supplies specialty packaging to the food, pharmaceutical, beauty and tobacco industries.
