Alcan US June transaction price falls to $1.31/lb

Alcan Inc. (AL.TO: Quote, Profile , Research) (AL.N: Quote, Profile , Research), the world's second-largest maker of primary aluminum, said its posted U.S. June transaction price for aluminum products fell two cents to $1.31 per pound from the previous month.

Alcan said its price for 99.7 remelt declined to $1.31 a lb, while its 6063 extrusion billet price dropped two cents to be quoted at $1.41 a lb.
