Alcan Packaging: Takeover by Sealed Air?

Packaging group Sealed Air is currently regarded as the hottest candidate to take over Alcan Packaging, the packaging division of Rio Tinto Alcan, the aluminium giant recently formed by Rio Tinto following its acquisition of Alcan . Reports say a contract worth USD 4-5 bn has been drawn up. Flexible packaging producer Bemis also is said to be a contender.
