Alcan Packaging CEO makes ‘Power 50’ list

(Oct. 20, 5:05 p.m.) Ilene Gordon, president and chief executive officer of Alcan Packaging, Chicago, has been named to Fortune Magazine’s “International Power 50” list for the second consecutive year. Gordon, who is also a member of the Rio Tino Alcan executive committee, was recognized as one of the most powerful and influential woman executives in international business, according to a company news release. President and chief executive officer with Alcan since December 2006, Gordon oversees the company’s worldwide business, including more than 30,000 employees in 31 countries, generating $6.2 billion annually, according to the release. ---By Brian Frederick
