National Aluminium In Pact With Rio Tinto Alcan To Expand Ops

MUMBAI, Dec 12, 2008 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) --India's state-run National Aluminium Co. (532234.BY) has signed an agreement with Rio Tinto Alcan of Canada to widen the scope of the Indian company's operations locally and overseas, Nalco said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange Friday. "The alliance is expected to help Nalco enlarge the geographical spread of its operations," C.R. Pradhan, chairman and managing director of Nalco, said in the statement.
