MARKET TALK: Tin Eyes $12,500 On Indonesia's Exports Move

LME 3-month tin last at $12,150/ton, untraded in Asia, unchanged on London PM kerb after rising $365 in London session Tuesday. Tin likely to get boost from reports Indonesian government to restrict refined tin exports, PT Koba Tin under investigation, possible loss of 10%-20% of country's production, may lead to shortage later in year, says trader with major Japan house. Tips tin to target $12,500 today, but as price at historic high, faces no limit. However, trader says as LME tin stocks still at healthy level, short-term impact of news cushioned by stocks, loss of production more likely to be felt later in year.
