New Delhi, Aug 19 Aluminium futures prices fell by 1.59 per cent in futures trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange today on concerns of global economic recovery. Weakness in other base metals also put pressure on the aluminium prices in futures trade. At the MCX counter, aluminium for September-month contract fell by 1.59 per cent to Rs 95.90 per kg in a business volume of 80 lots, while August contract fell by 1.35 per cent to Rs 95.05 per kg, clocking a business turnover of 1,077 lots. Market analysts said, the weakness in copper and other base metals is due to unexpected fall in the US housing data which pressurised the aluminium prices at domestic futures market here.
