Aluminium futures fall in futures trade

New Delhi, Aug 31 Aluminium futures prices fell by 1.94 per cent in futures trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange today as traders indulged in reducing their holding on lack of support amid weak overseas trend. Aluminium for October contract fell by 1.94 per cent to Rs 91.00 per kg in a business volume of two lots, while September contract declined by 0.76 per cent to Rs 91.20 per kg, clocking business turnover in 46 lots. Marketmen said selling pressure gathered momentum on fears that demand for the base metal might fall after the world&aposs largest economy consumer confidence fell to its lowest in four months in August. They said the US consumer confidence data fell on worries over high unemployment and dismal personal finances.
