Copper Stockpiles in Shanghai at Highest Since June

Copper stockpiles monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange gained for the second week to the highest level since June, according to data from the bourse.


Inventories of copper rose 9,899 metric tons, or 7.4 percent, to 144,197 tons, based on a survey of eight warehouses in Shanghai, the exchange said today. That’s the highest level since the week to June 3, according to exchange data.


Stockpiles of aluminum rose by 1,472 tons to 431,356 tons, based on a survey of 18 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, the exchange said.


Zinc stockpiles gained 410 tons to a record 326,620 tons, based on a survey of 15 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdong and Zhejiang, the bourse said.


Natural-rubber inventories declined 615 tons to 58,058 tons, based on a survey of 10 warehouses in Shanghai, Shandong, Yunnan, Hainan and Tianjin, the exchange said.
