According to statistics, China imported around 429,500 tons of aluminum in August, up by 9.8% from the previous month, hitting the highest level since April 2009.
China became a net importer of aluminum for two consecutive months, because traders increased their aluminum imports due to lower overseas prices, making China’s aluminum imports surge by eight times in August year on year.
