Portland Aluminium announces further changes to contractor structure

PORTLAND Aluminium Smelter Operations Manager John Osborne says it has selected its preferred contractor option. The Manager explains that as part of the contractor consultation process, they received a joint submission from Logical Property Services, Robertson Civil Services and Nott Contracting to manage select facilities maintenance services, including janitorial and civil services. Osborne says the proposal has been selected as our preferred option, with the final solution anticipated to achieve the necessary 10-15% cost reduction. Contract negotiations will occur in the coming weeks. Osborne also announced Portland Aluminium’s waste management services will be taken to the open market. He says this will ensure the group receives the best possible service at the most competitive of price.
