MUMBAI, Oct 18 (Reuters) - Hindalco Industries Ltd. , India's top aluminium and copper producer, reported a jump in quarterly net profit on Wednesday, helped by high metal prices.
Hindalco said April-June net profit rose to 5.976 billion rupees ($132 million) from 3.24 billion rupees a year ago.
A Reuters poll of 10 brokerages had forecast Hindalco to report a net profit of 5.9 billion rupees. ($1 = 45.3 Indian rupees)
