Madras Aluminium said it has reported a 4.01 times jump in net profits for the quarter ended Dec 30, 2006. During the quarter, the company`s net profit went up 4.01 times to Rs. 490.70 million compared with Rs 122.40 million during the corresponding quarter.
The sales for the quarter rose 20.62% to Rs. 1237.80 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
The total income for the quarter rose 30.59% to Rs. 1344.70 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
The earnings per share for the quarter rose Rs 16.37 to Rs 21.81 compared with Rs 5.44 a share, a year ago.
