MUMBAI--Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (500188.BY), India's largest zinc producer by volume, has increased its zinc price by INR6,900 a metric ton to INR180,900/ton, the company said in a statement Saturday.
The increase took effect immediately, it said.
The company also raised its lead price by INR2,100/ton to INR94,700/ton, the statement said.
No reasons were given for the changes.
Hindustan Zinc is a unit of London-listed Vedanta Resources PLC (VED.LN).
