BHP Billiton Tips Aggressive India Sales Push

BHP Billiton said it plans an aggressive push into India, but will focus first on sales, not production, as government policies make large-scale mining developments there unattractive. In a briefing two days after the miner unveiled a record $13.42 billion annual profit, Chief Executive Chip Goodyear and CEO elect Marius Kloppers reiterated their bullish outlook and said they are confident that major petroleum developments will come in on budget despite cost pressures.
