Hindalco floats alumina sale tender

NEW DELHI - India's top aluminium producer, Hindalco Industries, has floated an alumina sale tender that will close in nine days, trade sources said on Thursday. The tender does not specify the quantity the company is looking to sell, the sources added. "We don't know how much they will sell. But our guess is that it will be at least 20,000 tonnes," said a senior official with an international trading firm. A company spokeswoman could not immediately confirm the sale offer.
