India Court Issued Decree to Prohibit Vedanta Explore Bauxite Mine in India

Latest news said that India Supreme Court issued a decree on Nov. 23 to prohibit English Vedanta Resources Plc to explore bauxite mine in the forest mountain area in east India. However, India Supreme Court required that company submit a reversed proposal to protect local resident’s right, leaving some space for that project. This court, which consisted by three judges said that sustainable development idea suit fro constitution. It also said that though India need to satisfy its currently development, it mustn’t injure their descendants’ benefit. It also said that it can’t bear the risk to give these important state assets to one company. Vedanta Resources Plc make no comment on this.
