Nalco soars on increase in aluminium futures

National Aluminium Company (Nalco) jumped 8.57 per cent to Rs 360.25 as the aluminium futures on London Metal Exchange galloped to a record high of $3,350 a tonne. Chinese smelters said that they would cut the output by 5-10 per cent from July to reduce the power consumption. The country's largest aluminium producer, Hindalco, was also up by 5.49 per cent to Rs 153.65. Nalco witnessed volumes of 3,98,194 shares, a little over three times its two week average. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 364 and a low of Rs 325. Source:business-standard
