Sterlite Aluminium to list on NYSE

Mumbai, Sep 9 (PTI) Anil Agarwal-promoted Vedanta Resources today said it will list Sterlite Aluminium in the New York Stock Exchange in the current fiscal. "Sterlite Aluminium's ADR will be listed on the NYSE before March 2009," Vedanta Resources Chief Executive Officer Kuldip Kaura told PTI here. Kaura, however, declined to divulge the amount to be raised. Earlier in the day, Vedanta Resources Plc Chairman Anil Agarwal said the company would invest USD 9.8 billion in the aluminium business to boost capacity to 2.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) by 2012, making it one of the top five global aluminium makers. This is part of the USD 26-billion capital expenditure plan across businesses which has been fully tied-up, he said.
