Nalco offers more discounts on metal prices

National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has offering a top up discount of Rs 2,000 per tonne on its aluminium prices. The company has taken this to improve sales realisation for the second quarter to September 30. The discount was announced on September 20. "The Rs 2,000 discount is over and above the one of Rs 1000 that had been announced earlier," Nalco director (commercial) KK Mallick told FE . Thus, the effective price benefit to customers will be Rs 3,000 per tonne, he said. Both the discounts will be valid till September 30. With metal prices coming down in the international market, Nalco effected a downward price revision on September 10. It slashed metal prices by Rs 3,000 per tonne and rolled product prices by Rs 4,000 per tonne. Source: financialexpress
