India's NALCO sells 30,000 alumina at $190/tonne

MUMBAI, Jan 13 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO)has sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina at around $190 a tonne, free on board, a company official, who could not be named, said on Tuesday. A tender that closed on Tuesday received four responses. Another tender for the sale of an identical quantity of alumina is likely to be floated on Jan. 22 or Jan. 23, the official added. A tender for the sale of aluminium is also likely this month. NALCO's tenders usually serve as a price benchmark internationally.
