Arshiya Intl`s arm commences rail operations for Vedanta Aluminium

Arshiya International, engaged in providing end-to-end logistics and supply chain solutions, has announced that Arshiya Rail Infrastructure, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company commenced Phase I of its rail operations for Vedanta Aluminium today. The company disclosed that its arm, Arshiya Rail Infrastructure has initiated its pan-India rail operations with the deployment of its first of the planned 30 rakes in Phase 1 for Vedanta Aluminium. The subsidiary company would be unique and customized rail solutions with innovative industry products having specifically designed containers for large corporations with sizeable evacuation requirements in India According to Ajay S Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director of Arshiya International, ``With the commencement of Rail operations, Arshiya International has moved one step closer to being the first integrated supply chain and logistics infrastructure solution Company in India``. He further said, ``especially in economic circumstances we find ourselves in currently, we are confident that Arshiya`s Rail solution combined with our Free Trade Warehousing Zones will present a substantial value proposition for our clients.`` Sajal Mittra, C.E.O. of Arshiya Rail, said, ``The company has been able to initiate business with Vedanta by making a customized solution for them where we have provided dedicated rakes with custom built containers that help in not only decreasing operating costs for Vedanta but also reduce damage to their cargo. Arshiya Rail Infrastructure is very confident on working with its customers to bring about significant optimization and efficiencies to the supply chain of its clients. `` Shares of the company gained Rs 2, or 3.17%, to trade at Rs 65.
