India's Nalco Sells 30,000 Tons Alumina At $191/Ton - Exec

MUMBAI, Feb 25, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- India's state-run National Aluminium Co. Ltd. (532234.BY) has sold 30,000 metric tons of alumina at $191 a metric ton, free on board Vizag for shipment in March,a company official said Wednesday. The alumina was sold to South Africa-based Standard Bank, the official said. The tender received 5 bids, the official added. Last month, the company sold 30,000 tons of alumina for $195.25/ton. Nalco's alumina tender is usually seen as a price benchmark internationally.
