MUMBAI: Inspite of the recommendations to impose safeguard duty on aluminium imports, the aluminium companies are not found to be pleased as the stocks perform weak on BSE today.

MUMBAI, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) (NALU.BO) sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina at $191.13 a tonne, a company source said on Thursday. The buyer of the commodity was South Africa's Standard Bank (SBKJ.J), the senior official who did not want to be named said. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark for alumina prices, last sold alumina at $195.25 a tonne early this month. (Reporting by Ruchira Singh)
