NALCO sells aluminium at $55/T premium over LME

India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has sold 4,500 tonnes of aluminium at a premium of $55 per tonne to LME average prices, the company's chairman said on Tuesday. "The schedule for shipment is from April to June ... The premium will be on the previous-to-shipment month's LME average price," C.R. Pradhan, chairman of NALCO, told Reuters. The firm is likely to issue a sale tender for 10,000 tonnes of alumina this week, he added. NALCO's tenders serve as an international benchmark for prices.
