Balgoapl Raju is barely 25. But, he has churned out as many as five books on electronics and telecommunication by now.
A graduate trainee engineer in Central sector National Aluminium Company Ltd (Nalco), Raju is quite a familiar name among students and teachers of electronics and telecommunication in the country. His first book, Basic Electonics , was published in February 2008. The book became so popular among engineering students and faculty members that he got offers from publishers for more books. Two more books of Raju– Digital Singal Processing and Microprocessor & Microcontrollor —got published in that year.
Within the first three and a half months of the current year, Raju has composed two more books. Electro-magnetic Theory got published in January. It was followed by Digital Electronics Circuit, which was published last month.Raju, a graduate in electronics & telecommunication, was a faculty member in ITER, one of Orissa’s premier engineering institutes, for over two years.
“As a teacher, I found that students are finding it difficult to grasp the subject by reading technical text books of foreign authors. So, I thought that I should make an attempt to write books keeping in mind the Indian students, particularly those from Orissa,” Raju told FE. According to him, the books are written according to the syllabus of the leading universities in Orissa like BPUT, KIIT, and Sikhya O’ Anusandhan.
Balgopal Raju, who is now working as a graduate trainee engineer at the captive power plant of Nalco’s smelter facility in Angul, plans to write more text books in future.
