India's NALCO issues tender for sale of alumina

MUMBAI, March 24 (Reuters) - Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) issued a tender for sale of alumina on Tuesday, the company's website showed. The tender was for 30,000 tonnes of alumina for shipment at the end of April, a source in the company told Reuters. NALCO, whose prices are watched by the industry as a benchmark, sold alumia at the end of February at $191.13 a tonne. (Reporting by Ruchira Singh; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
