Leading supplier of heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling equipment Alpha Laval has secured a SEK 65 million order from the aluminium industry in India. Alfa Laval has won an order for heat exchangers from an aluminium production company in India. The order value is about SEK 65 million and final delivery is scheduled for 2010. The Alfa Laval heat exchangers will be used in an early stage of the process where ore is heated up under high pressure to start the extraction of alumina. The extracted alumina is later treated in separate smelting facilities to produce aluminium. “We have seen a good development of this business over the past two years. This is our second large order in six months to the Indian aluminium industry”, says Lars Renström, chief executive officer and president of the Alfa Laval Group.
