NALCO Q1 net profit down by 75pct

IANS reported that State run National Aluminium Company has 75% fall in net profit to INR 126.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30th as compared to INR 525.3 crore in the like period in 2008. The company said that the total income decreased 34% to INR 1,036.5 crore from INR 1,593.7 crore. NALCO's net sales too dipped 37% to INR 921.5 crore in the June quarter from INR 1,467 crore a year ago. (Sourced from IANS)
