India NALCO sells 30,000T alumina at $283.69/T-source

BHUBANSEWAR, Aug 7 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO)sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina at $283.69 a tonne, a company official said on Friday. The buyer of all of the alumina was European trading company Trafigura, the source, who has direct knowledge of the deal but cannot be named, said. The shipment will take place in September, he said. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina in July at $241.3/tonne.
