India's NALCO to sell 270,000 T alumina-source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Sept 25 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) (NALU.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) has issued a tender to sell 270,000 tonnes of alumina, a company source said on Friday. The last date to submit bids is Oct 20 said the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy. The alumina will be supplied to the buyer in batches over 2010, the source said. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina in August at $283.69 a tonne to European trading company Trafigura, the same official had said at that time.
