NALCO to sell 270,000 tonnes alumina

Reuters reported that India's state run National Aluminium Company Limited has issued a tender to sell 270,000 tonnes of alumina. Last date to submit bids is October 20th 2009. The source said that the alumina will be supplied to the buyer in batches over 2010. The official said that NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark last sold alumina in August at USD 283.69 per tonne to European trading company Trafigura. (Sourced from Reuters)
