NALCO issues tender to sell 30,000 T alumina-source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has issued a tender to sell 30,000 tonnes of alumina, a company source said on Friday. The last date to submit bids is Oct. 27, the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy, said. The alumina will be supplied to the buyer next month, the source added. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina in August at $283.69 a tonne to European trading company Trafigura, the official had said. (Reporting by Jatindra Dash)
