India's NALCO sells alumina at $300.5/T-source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Oct 28 - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina at $300.5 a tonne on an FOB basis, a source in the company said on Wednesday. The alumina was purchased by Hong Kong's Hongfan International Ltd, said the source, who was close to the sale but could not be named due to company policy. The shipment will take place in November. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina at $283.69 a tonne in August, the same source had said.
