NALCO issues tender for 30,000T alumina sale-source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has issued a tender to sell 30,000 tonnes of alumina, a company source said on Thursday. The last date to submit bids is Dec. 2, the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy, said. The alumina is for shipment in December, the source added. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina at $300.5 a tonne at the end of October on an FOB basis, the source had said. (Reporting by Jatindra Dash)
