CHENNAI: Bhoruka Aluminium, part of the Mysore-based Bhoruka group, will carry out expansion plans by installing fourth production line for aluminium extrusions to increase capacity to 2,600 tonnes per month from 2,000 tonnes. Besides, an anodising plant and a high-tech powder coating plant would be installed in the next two years. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, Rajat Agarwal, Executive Director, said the company was planning to install wind mills for meeting captive power requirements. Initially the capacity would be 2 MW and it would be doubled later, he said. He said there was a good demand for aluminium extrusions and the company was supplying them to Bombardier, the aero space specialist. The company had developed special sections for use in micro-light aircraft and heat sink for cryogenic engines. Some of the products were used in Delhi metro rail coaches, Mr. Agarwal said. Early this year the company increased the capacity of aluminium extrusions to 2,000 tonnes from 800 tonnes a month, at an outlay of Rs. 35 crore, Mr. Agarwal said.
