NALCO sells aluminium at $78.25/T premium -source

BHUBANESWAR, India, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Indian state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd has sold 2,500 tonnes of primary aluminium ingots at a premium of $78.25 a tonne over the LME cash price on a CIF basis, a company source said. The buyer was European trading firm Trafigura, said the official who has direct knowledge of the deal but could not be named due to company policy. NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark for prices, last sold 8,750 tonnes aluminium ingots at $82.25 a tonne premium over the LME cash price on a CIF basis last month, the source had said.
