NEW DELHI: Aluminium futures prices on Thursday gained Rs 0.35 to Rs 96.05 a kg in the futures market on pick up in demand in spot markets on the back of better trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Aluminium for February gained Rs 0.35, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 96.05 a kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange with an open interest of 2,392 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in March contract traded marginally higher by Rs 0.20, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 97.05 a kg in 195 lots.
Analysts said pick up in demand in spot markets following firming trend at the LME led to rise in aluminium prices at futures market. Meanwhile, aluminium traded higher by 0.38 per cent at $2,230 a tonne at the LME. — PTI
