PTI reported that supported by a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange, Indian aluminum prices edged up by 0.91% to INR 121.75 per kilogram in futures trading today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminum for delivery in June gained INR 1.10 or 0.91% to INR 121.75 per kilogram with a business volume of a single lot. Similarly, the metal for delivery in April traded marginally higher by 10 paise or 0.08% to INR 120.60 per kilogram with a business turnover of six lots.

Market analysts said that gains in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange along with a better trend at the spot markets mainly influenced the aluminum prices at futures trade here. Meanwhile, aluminum gained 0.6% to USD 2,729 per tonne at the LME.
