US and India agreement aims to improve aluminum recycling

 The US headquartered Aluminum Association has signed MoU with the Aluminum Association of India which aims to boost recycling of the metal.

 
 
The associations agreed to cooperate to improve recycling by exchanging information on reuse programs in transportation, packaging and building and construction markets.
 
 
The two organizations also outlined plans to improve the exchange of information on end use demand in the transportation, packaging and building and construction markets as well as data gathering techniques to improve the timeliness and accuracy of reports.
 
 
Additional cooperation will occur in the area of health and safety benchmarking the associations will exchange information on health and safety programs to promote and improve best practices.
 
 
Mr Heidi Brock president of the Aluminum Association said that "Through greater sharing of industry data and information, we will be helping promote and support both industries in the US and India."
