It was reported that Novelis Inc., a leading producer of flat-rolled aluminum products based in Atlanta, invested US$7 million to expand its aluminum processing plant in Terre Haute, and several idled pieces of equipment will be restarted.

After the expansion, the mill will produce aluminum foil sheets and rolls applied in commercial and residential kitchens later this year.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. provided Novelis with US$475,000 in conditional tax credits based on the firm's job creation plans.
The Trump Administration launched anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations on 18 nations last March; therefore, Novelis decided to reenter the aluminum market to gain more market shares.
