TOKYO--Japan's Nippon Light Metal Co. said Wednesday it aims to boost its group net profit by 50% over the midterm, focusing on growth fields such as materials used in automobile and electronics.
The Tokyo-based aluminum smelter said it is aiming to generate a group net profit of Y18 billion for the year ending March 2010, compared with Y12 billion estimated for the just-ended business year.
It also aims to register group sales of Y725 billion for fiscal 2009, compared with Y605 billion it forecaast for latest fiscal year.
