TOKYO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Japanese shipments of aluminium products rose 3.9 percent in September from a year earlier after marking their biggest year-on-year drop in more than three years in the previous month. Shipments of aluminium mill products -- flat-rolled and extrusions -- rose to 192,328 tonnes in September, compared with 170,856 tonnes in August, the Japan Aluminium Association's data showed on Wednesday. August shipments were down 6.5 percent from a year earlier, the first year-on-year drop since March and the deepest one since July 2005. Aluminium product output rose 1.6 percent to 194,057 tonnes in September from a year earlier. In the six months to September, shipments totalled 1.168 million tonnes, up 0.5 percent from the same period last year, thanks to hot summer increasing usage of drinks cans.
